To accommodate our international clients, we are translating our brochures in several languages. Our French brochure is already available, and our Spanish and Chinese brochures will be printed soon.  Contact us for a brochure in French or English, or download a PDF from our website.

Alix controller recall -- pre-March 2012

This post is for Emriver Alix flow controller users who bought their units before March 2012.

Your Alix controller might need repair.  Please watch this movie.
Despite our best efforts, and months of earnest R&D, some of our newly-born Alix controllers have a minor fault.  We got a batch of mislabeled fuses that may shut down the controller when nothing’s wrong.  Hundreds of hours of use and testing in our lab didn’t reveal this problem, but a user in the field did.

Damn you, Murphy's Law.
We’re emailing all the affected Alix controller users. Of course we’re fixing everything for free.

LRRD at the U of I Engineering Open House

Last week we joined students and faculty from the top-rated College of Engineering at the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana for an Open House.

Thousands of people, many of them schoolchildren, visited the world-class Ven T. Chow Hydrosystems Lab.  We set up one of our Emriver Em3 models.

We had a blast; we were, as always, a big hit with the kids, and I really enjoyed seeing the incredible capabilities of this lab and talking with students and faculty.

Many thanks to Director Marcelo H. García for inviting us.   And to Nathan and Lily, who put in extra hours last weekend to make this happen.
